Old Capital Lost Woods

This tower was once considered the sanctuary of wisdom admired by magicians and a symbol of higher learning. It was captured by rebel forces who sought the kingdom's decline, and now it is feared as a symbol of evil.

The eighth stage is in this multi-floored mage laboratory, infested with evil mages, skeletons, demons, and shape-shifters. You encounter the bound female spirit, who tells about how the Morneon mages have captured her and others of her kind to power their rune magic in order to open the way to the Illusionary Lands. Once she's freed, you head to the lower basement in a lava-filled cavern and a carpet ride to encounter the warlock, one of the Morneon leaders. Killing the warlock earns the black runestones.

The second time through, the female spirit tells about how the mages are now conducting experiments of monster fusions. This time, you ascend the tower, taking a shortcut with a flying carpet. Once reaching the top, you are taken by surprise with the sudden appearance of the chimera. Killing it gets you a talisman.

High Ranked Chest[]

On path A, getting past the carpet ride without your carpet being destroyed takes you to an area with a gold chest, that has a high chance of having high ranked treasure.

  • Due to their similarities, it is speculated by some that the Mage's Tower is actually the Tower of Silver Star from GrimGrimoire, making Dragon's Crown take place hundred of years after GrimGrimoire, although, in truth, the design and architecture of the Tower of Silver Star has more in common with the Forgotten Sanctuary (and their real-life source of inspiration, the imagery of the biblical Tower of Babel) than with the Mage's Tower.
