Dragon's Crown Wiki

Art by Yasuhiro Fujiwara. This treasure art is unlocked by completing the quest Dead Master's Party.

The death of the landlord's family was due to an epidemic. Carried by rats and flies, it spread like wildfire - it was not uncommon for an entire village to be devastated overnight.

The landlord's family died at their final rave. This gala was held during the height of the outbreak, and in their frenzied terror the party-goers began dancing madly, day and night, some even dying on their feet.

Even today, the skeletons dance side by side with humans. Death comes to all, regardless of class or wealth.

  • The art appears to be inspired by the Danse Macabre, an artistic genre of late-medieval allegory on the universality of death.
  • The disease mentioned in the lore appears to reference the Black Death that affected Europe in the Middle Ages.
  • Related or not, the title of the treasure art is the same as Oingo Boingo's 1985 song and album.
